Doppelganger – The Evil Twin

doppelganger evil twin

The word doppelganger is generally used to portray someone that looks resembling, behaves alike, a twin, evil replica, or verily has an identical title.

Nonetheless, when it comes to dealing with a suspected ghost, spirit, or demonic replica, it could possess quite a hostile impact on the entity being replicated.

In supernatural terms, a doppelganger is a ghostly look-alike of a living person, a supernatural evil twin.

Viewing one’s own or a member of the house’s doppelganger can portend sickness, doom, or some other catastrophe for that person. A doppelganger may also be a spirit, holding on to someone’s form to prompt devilment.

Legends

Other ancient legends say that a doppelganger is basically a ghostly replica of you who resided before you. Occasionally a person’s doppelganger will reveal itself to the close ones, just before the death comes or verily after.

For example, a son may be critically ill, and before he dies, or directly after his death, his doppelganger will present itself to the family. The family won’t be aware that this is a doppelganger, though they may be surprised to see their son.

The truth will be disclosed when they receive news of his fate, which took place within days or hours of the incident. This happened to many people worldwide and there are many reported accounts of it.

What Abraham Lincoln Saw?

There are authentic records of people spotting their doppelgangers and effects nearly never end well for them. Abraham Lincoln was said to have observed his double in a mirror, next to his own reflection in 1860. The double was worn, dull, and appeared to be ailing.

Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln were pretty superstitious and they took the double as a portent of bad luck, that Mr. Lincoln would not see out his successive term in office.

Eventually, Abraham Lincoln was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth briefly after commencing his successive term in office.

Queen Elizabeth I and Catherine The Great

Queen Elizabeth I is another person who had seen their replica shortly before their death. She entered her bedroom to experience herself laying on the bed.

She was faded and ailing. Soon after this episode she fell ill and died in that same bed. Coincidence? Well, we never know.

In 1796, Catherine the Great was abruptly awoken one night by her confidants, alleging that someone who appeared precisely like her was sitting on the throne.

Confused, she got up and paced to the room and was astonished to witness herself, sitting on the throne. She marshaled her soldiers to shoot at the pretender.

But their bullets had no consequence, and the doppelganger vanished right in front of them. Within a couple of weeks, Catherine died of a stroke.

She was found on the floor with a purple face and shallow breath and all the attempts to revive her eventually failed.

Was it just a coincidence that all of these famous people had seen their doppelgangers before their deaths? Well, not every incident ends in a certain demise.

The Ghostly Friend

Chelsea shared an incident about her father, Floyd, and her Uncle Fred, when they were young. They both were in Fred’s house, anticipating Susanna, their friend, to come over.

They heard a knock on the door and she came in. Wow, you came earlier than usual, Floyd said. Without uttering a single word, she footed right past him and into the restroom.

He supposed it was quite outlandish, but concluded she needed to go urgently. Half an hour went, and Susanna still had not left the restroom. Floyd required to use it too, so he called her name and urged her to come out. But there was no response.

“Hey, is everything all right?”

Still no answer. They decided to kick the door open, covering their eyes just in case they walked in on something they did not demand to witness.

But they did not see anything. It was totally vacant. The restroom had no windows. Where did she go? Did you see her leave? No, did you? Nope.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. And there she was, Susanna.

“Oh, we did not catch on you left the restroom before.”

What restroom?

“What are you speaking about? Were not you here before?”

What? No, I just arrived.

To this day, they still have no explanation of what it was that walked into the house.

Doppelganger in Mythologies

Doppelgangers are generally just seen as a bad portent, even if they do not particularly denote death. Numerous have perpetually believed that the doppelgänger is principally a wicked twin.

They apparently seek to deliberately give you ill advice in a vicious way. They might also try to seed menacing ideas in their victim’s head.

According to Norse tradition, the doppelganger is there called a “vardøger.” A less sinister version of a doppelganger.

The tales of vardøger render circumstances that are principally déjà vu in a hind where a spirit with the subject’s footmarks, voice, aroma, or garb and overall behavior precedes them in a spot or activity.

Which in turn influences witnesses to trust they have seen or heard the genuine person before the person physically arrives.

Originally, vardøger was interpreted as a guardian spirit called fylgja, in a way more positive way.

The Egyptian “Ka”

According to ancient Egyptian legends, the doppelganger is principally the same as a “ka.” A “ka” is supposed to as a spiritual twin born in everyone.

When someone dies, their spiritual twin lives on as long as they’ve somewhere to live, generally that person’s body.

This is why Egyptians mummified their dead if they commemorated the body from putrefying, which denoted the spiritual twin had somewhere to dwell.

But if the body decomposed, the spiritual twin would cease, and the deceased would lose their chance at perpetual life.

Parallel Universe Theory

There’s one further hypothesis a doppelganger could represent a resemblant universe in which everything in this world is imitated in another dimension. Seeing the doppelganger could be a moment when we are capable to witness the distinctive dimension.

In fact, Columbia University physicist Brian Greene, author of the book The Hidden Reality resemblant Worlds and the Profound Laws of the Cosmos says that we all have doppelgangers.

Doppelgangers have been witnessed all over the world and through different periods.

So are these cases real? Is a doppelganger some sort of supernatural entity, an evil twin? Maybe it’s our minds playing tricks on us.

Or maybe that’s what they want us to think. Have you ever seen a doppelganger or maybe you have an evil twin?
